The Swiss Asian Chamber of Commerce had the honor of organizing a high-level education and business visit: Together with Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, we visited Hamilton Medical AG in Domat-Ems.
The purpose of this meeting was to present Switzerlandโs dual education system and its successful combination of theory and practice. The Prime Minister was highly impressed by the quality, structure, and future-oriented approach of Switzerlandโs vocational education system.
A special highlight was the insight into the apprenticeship program at Hamilton Medical. Ilaria Cerullo, responsible for apprenticeship training at Hamilton Medical, showcased how young talents are educated and supported within the company.
The next step after apprenticeship was presented by Prof. Dr. sc. techn. Tobias Leutenegger from the University of Applied Sciences Graubรผnden (FHGR). He explained the wide range of opportunities available to students throughout their education and vocational training journey, from initial vocational education to university-level degrees.
A heartfelt thank you to Hamilton Medical, the University of Applied Sciences Graubรผnden, Ilaria Cerullo, Meike Maurer, Prof. Tobias Leutenegger, and everyone involved who made this event possible in such a short time.
